An Introduction to CSMA

Thank you for considering membership in the Canadian Sunroom Manufacturers Association. The CSMA is a national trade association dedicated to promoting and lobbying on behalf of the sunroom industry.

As a member of the CSMA you will help shape the future of the sunroom industry. The association is working on developing standards for the industry and periodically surveys Dealer members and non-members on specific trends and issues facing the sector. The statistical analysis' of these surveys are put to use in CSMA's lobbying initiatives to assure that the best codes and practices are put into place for the sunroom industry as whole.

Categories of Membership and Eligibility

General

A General member is any company actively engaged in the manufacture of sunrooms, patio rooms, solariums and related structures in North America that meets certain criteria as set out by the Board of Directors. Representatives of members must be an owner or employee of the member.

Dealer

A Dealer member is any company that represents one of the general members and that is engaged in the retail sales of sunrooms.

Affiliate

An Affiliate member is any company that does not qualify for membership in either the general membership or dealer membership categories.

Voting Rights and Privileges

General members are entitled to one vote each with respect to all matters submitted to the membership for a vote.

Application for Membership

A person who wishes to become a member in any class of membership shall submit a signed written application, together with the applicable membership fee. No application shall be considered until the required fee has been received by the Association.
